Marian Teodorascu  - Oana Casandra Olaru

Marian and Oana (MyO) are two Romanian tango dancers that discovered Tango in 2007, respectively in 2008. Having no dancing background they started learning tango both with local and international maestros.

In 2010 they joined a very daring initiative and started teaching at Casa de Tango.
During the years, as a couple, MyO attended national and international tango events, festivals, workshops and took part to several Tango projects, social dance-floor exhibitions, street festivals, performances within local cultural events. In 2016 Marian and Oana started by themselves a new project called Asociatia Tango MyO. “We mainly dance for the pleasure itself and teach about aiming the feeling of connection, indulging into music’s complexity and playing with it, while celebrating the embrace.

Though the joy derived from dancing takes precedence over aesthetics and strong technical skills, we believe that the focus on personal development will lead every dancer towards reaching a good body-awareness, a comfortable embrace and thus will access the famous subtle tango connection.”
